Mother-son duo Beatrice and Philip Longino (Sarah Squires, from Home Office, is shown in the photo with Philip) launched their Qualicare franchise in Sugarland, Texas, on January 1st of this year. The Longinos, like many franchise partners, have backgrounds outside of the healthcare field. Beatrice was a manager at the US Postal Service and comes to Qualicare with a strong logistical background. Philip is currently pursuing an MBA in International Business, and has extensive experience in project management, supply chain management, and as a defensive line football coach! 

Heather McDonald launched Qualicare, New Braunfels, in November 2022. After a year’s worth of research, and countless companies considered, Heather decided on Qualicare. Heather cites the company’s caring representatives, her professional background as a physical therapist, and shared values, as to why Qualicare is a great fit! 

Jerry Tsia, owner of senior care franchise Qualicare Burlington, in Ontario, has been helping clients navigate their care needs for the past 9 years. Today, he shares the insights he’s learned about taking care of patients in their homes, and helping their families navigate change.

This past April, Shaili Patel and her husband and co-owner Bhavik Patel launched Qualicare Delta Surrey. With backgrounds in nursing, engineering, and management, the duo brings a wealth of knowledge to Qualicare. Through their dynamic first months as business owners, Shaili says “Qualicare treats new franchise partners like family members.” 

Two years ago, the coronavirus pandemic brought a tidal wave of change, with social distancing restrictions, staffing shortages, and the stress of encountering a new, deadly disease. Over 600 million people, including over a million in the U.S. alone, died of the disease, according to the Johns Hopkins University of Medicine Coronavirus Resource Center. The global economy experienced major upheaval, and no more so than in the healthcare industry, which had to rapidly evolve to meet the needs of the time.
